“We love the touches of Weezer in The Waiters’ catchy pop songs!” – MTV

Taking inspiration from artists such as McFly, 5 Seconds of Summer, The Vamps, Ed Sheeran, Busted and One Direction, South Shields band The Waiters have an armoury of catchy pop songs which have caught the attention of the likes of MTV, Island Records and Columbia.

Back in 2013, The Waiters were announced as The Pride of South Tyneside Young Performers of The Year, following in the footsteps of Joe McElderry and Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall. They have since gone on to support B*Witched, Shayne Ward, The Honeyz and Liberty X at The Bents Park Festival in front of over 20,000 people.

In 2014 The Waiters were crowned Metro Radio’s Big Audition Winners which saw them play at Christmas Live alongside Ed Sheeran, Nicole Sherzinger, Labrinth, Neon Jungle, Ella Henderson, Ella Eyre, Becky Hill, Charlie XCX, Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne and Sigma.

2015 has so far seen the band head out on their first UK tour and support 5ive and Atomic Kitten, and they are now in the process of writing and recording their first studio album at Blast Recording Studio.
